Free Aberdeen Afterschool Places - funded by NHS Grampian Charity

A-ND have received funding from the NHS Grampian Charity which will allow us to provide 9 FREE spaces for our Aberdeen Afterschool Club.

What does this mean?

With this funding, it will allow us to provide the following.

- 9 children on a 1:3 ratio, for a 2-hour session once per week for 37 weeks or

- 6 children on a 1:1 ratio, for a 2-hour session once per week for 37 weeks.

Any subsequent hours after the 2 free hours are also accessible and available for self-funded or SDS payment.

Eligibility

The only condition to the funding is that you must be new to Aberdeen Afterschool Club, sadly meaning those who already access our Aberdeen Afterschool club / playscheme will not be eligible for a free funded place.

How to Apply

The first step to securing your 2 hour FREE Aberdeen afterschool club session is to complete a referral form on our website www.a-nd.org.uk and returning it to us by Friday 7th June 2024.

After the referral form found on our website has been completed and sent to referrals@a-nd.org.uk we will invite you for an environmental visit at our Aberdeen Playscheme where you can have a look around and we can complete a personal plan for sessions to start in the new term in August 2024.

As spaces are limited, they will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Additional Information

Our Aberdeen Afterschool club currently operates on a Tuesday and Thursday 3:00PM until 8:00PM. We will soon be operating on a Monday with the hope of moving to 5 days per week.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NHS Grampian Charity for their generous funding, enabling us to provide free spaces for afterschool club to children and families in the Aberdeen area. Your support is invaluable in creating opportunities for our community, fostering growth, learning, and a sense of belonging. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our children and families.
