Our Binky the Sensory Bus initiative was developed to provide children and young people with a mobile and accessible sensory environment, unlike anything they may have experienced before.
So where better to showcase Binky than Scotland's Festival of Light, Spectra?
It was great to have Bink at this year’s Spectra event in Aberdeen City Centre, providing a safe and relaxed chill-out space for families who require it. A triumphant weekend for Aberdeen, the energy throughout the city was amazing with thousands of visitors making their way to the city centre.
Supporting the event organisers' aims to enhance accessibility, we felt incredibly lucky to share Binky with those who visited the festival's sites over its four days. Alongside WeToo and Abledeen, we were
set up for families with over 2,700 people getting the chance to see our much-needed resources. We were honoured to be part of this year's event over the four days and to meet so many wonderful people from all over the North East of Scotland.
A massive thank you to the organisers behind Spectra for welcoming us this year; all those who visited our wonderful Binky the Sensory Bus; Alan Diack for being our volunteer bus driver; and the team at Stagecoach for their ongoing support with Binky.
